Founded by Ghazi Faisal Al-Mulaifi, Boom. Diwan is a collaborative ensemble built around driving Khaleeji rhythms and rich regional harmonies. For this special concert, the group is joined by acclaimed New York jazz artists Elé Howell (drums) and Rashaan Carter (bass), both longtime collaborators of Ravi Coltrane. Together, they create a dynamic cross-cultural dialogue that bridges the Gulf and global jazz traditions. 🌍🔥

Al-Mulaifi, a Grammy-nominated musician, ethnomusicologist, NYU Abu Dhabi professor, and Venice Biennale artist, leads the ensemble with both scholarly depth and artistic passion. Boom. Diwan has performed at prestigious platforms including Lincoln Center for globalFEST and at WOMEX — becoming the first Khaleeji band to appear in the history of both events. 🎼🌟
