Al Ain Zoo Summer Camp 2026 brings wildlife, science, desert adventures & fun learning for young explorers.

Summer holidays are officially entering their “I’m bored” era again. You know the one. It starts somewhere around Day 3, right after the snacks disappear and the living room mysteriously transforms into a wrestling arena.

Thankfully, Al Ain Zoo has arrived with a solution that feels a lot more exciting than another afternoon of screen time and unfinished puzzles.

This summer, the zoo is launching its brand-new camp experience called “Legacy of the Desert” – and honestly, it sounds like the kind of childhood memory kids end up talking about for years.

A Summer Camp With Animals, Adventure & Actual Excitement

Think desert adventures, wildlife encounters, science experiments, arts and crafts, teamwork games, and enough hands-on activities to completely tire them out before lunch. (Parents everywhere just smiled reading that.)

Running from July 6 to July 24, the camp welcomes 80 young explorers every week, with sessions taking place Monday to Thursday from 8am to 12pm, and Fridays from 8am to 11am.

And unlike those “educational activities” kids mysteriously lose interest in after 14 minutes… this one seems built to keep curiosity levels very high.

Inspired by Sheikh Zayed’s Vision

Inspired by the vision of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the experience blends desert wildlife, Emirati culture, sustainability, and environmental awareness into one giant adventure-filled learning experience.

Basically, kids get to have fun while accidentally becoming smarter. A very sneaky strategy, honestly.

The camp connects the UAE’s past, present, and future through activities that encourage children to explore nature while understanding the importance of protecting it.

From Science Experiments to Animal Encounters

One moment they’re meeting animals up close. The next they’re diving into science experiments, trying creative workshops, exploring agriculture, or learning simple ways to care for the environment.

It’s the kind of learning that doesn’t feel like learning – which, let’s be honest, is every child’s favourite type.

And yes, there’s a very high chance they’ll come home excitedly explaining random animal facts at dinner.

More Than Just a Summer Camp

Somewhere between the team challenges, outdoor discoveries, and arts-and-crafts sessions, something magical tends to happen: kids start building confidence, making new friends, and discovering they can do way more than they thought.

The camp also reflects the spirit of the UAE’s Year of the Family, encouraging connection, shared values, and a stronger relationship with nature – all while giving children a summer experience that feels meaningful, active, and genuinely fun.

The Kind of Summer Kids Actually Remember

So if your child loves animals, adventure, creativity, or simply the idea of spending summer mornings exploring instead of scrolling… this might just become their favourite part of the holidays.

Because honestly? A summer camp with animals, science, crafts, and desert adventures sounds way cooler than sitting indoors arguing over Wi-Fi speed.
