You know you’re iconic when your voice stops time—and Umm Kulthum was that icon. This March, SUAD is throwing a heartfelt tribute to the diva who practically defined Arab musical excellence. And guess what? Their Oval Room (yes, the one that sounds like it belongs in a palace) will now proudly carry her name. She’s joining the likes of Marie Curie and Simone de Beauvoir. No big deal.
To seal the deal, a soul-stirring tribute concert by the magical Ghalia Benali is happening on April 16. Expect goosebumps, nostalgia, and maybe a tear or two. Sponsored by Abu Dhabi Mall and patroned by Nadine Kaaki Al Nowais, this one’s going to be chef’s kiss levels of epic.
