Saadiyat Nights Abu Dhabi: Every Headliner and What Comes Next

Every winter, a purpose-built amphitheatre appears in the Saadiyat Cultural District and Abu Dhabi quietly becomes one of the best places on the planet to see a legend up close. Saadiyat Nights has put Mariah Carey, Sting, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Robbie Williams and John Mayer on the same small open-air stage – with the Louvre Abu Dhabi as the neighbour and a 5,000-seat capacity that makes arena shows feel like a school hall.

Saadiyat Nights 2026/27: What We Know So Far

As of our last update, organiser Ethara has not officially confirmed any headliners for the fourth edition. History is a decent guide to what happens next though. The 2025/26 lineup was revealed in drops rather than one big poster – the first two names (Ludovico Einaudi and Lewis Capaldi) landed on 18 September 2025, Ricky Martin followed within the week and the rest rolled out through October and November.

Every edition so far has run from late December to February, with a headline show roughly every weekend and the occasional midweek date. If the pattern holds, expect the first 2026/27 announcements through autumn and the opening concert around New Year’s Eve. The moment names are confirmed, they go straight into the table below.

WOW Abu Dhabi Expert Tip: Search “Saadiyat Nights tickets” and you will hit a wall of lookalike resale sites, several of which openly state in the footer that they are not the official website. Past seasons have sold through Ticketmaster.ae (with Platinumlist handling some shows), so start there and set an artist alert. Jennifer Lopez sold out in under eight hours in 2025, so the alert is doing real work.

What 2025/26 Actually Looked Like

The third edition was the most varied yet. Alicia Keys returned to ring in New Year’s Eve, piano heavyweights Ludovico Einaudi and Max Richter brought the goosebumps crowd, and John Mayer made his UAE debut after his January date was moved to 15 February. Gates opened at 5pm for every show.

The venue also kept working after the concert calendar wrapped, hosting Layali Ramadan with nightly cultural performances, crafts, games and food from 9pm to 3am through the holy month.

Past visitor reviews flag a few pleasant surprises: the amphitheatre is genuinely small, so even the cheaper tiers feel close to the stage; the pre-show area with street food, bars and live acts is a proper part of the night rather than a queue for chips; and on at least one opening night a drone show lit up the sky as everyone walked out.

Every Saadiyat Nights Headliner So Far

Ethara counts 28 headline artists across the first three editions. Here are the headline shows from the first two seasons, for anyone settling a dinner-table argument about who played when.

Second edition: 2024/25

Christina Aguilera’s show was her first in Abu Dhabi in 17 years, and Jennifer Lopez’s debut in the capital sold out in under eight hours.

From downtown Abu Dhabi it is roughly a 15 to 20 minute drive via the Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Highway (E12); from Dubai, budget around 90 minutes. What Actually Happens on Concert Night

• Gates open early. In 2025/26 gates opened at 5pm for every show; earlier seasons opened at 6pm with the headliner on around 9pm.
• Parking is a short walk away. Several car parks sit close to the venue, though some have been unpaved gravel, so leave the suede shoes at home.
• The pre-show village is the dinner plan. Street-food stalls (pizza, tacos, nachos), casual bars and live performances run before the main act.
• Food queues build fast. A recurring complaint in past reviews is a long wait for food as showtime approaches, so eat early.
• It is all seated tiers. Past categories ran from Bronze up to Diamond, plus suites that bundled dedicated parking and waiter service.
• Getting out is smoother than you fear. Past visitors report being back on the highway with relative ease.

WOW Abu Dhabi Expert Tip: Arrive by 6.30pm, eat in the pre-show village while the queues are short and be in your seat 20 minutes before showtime. Pull up the drop-off pin before you leave home too – signage to the drop-off point is the one thing past visitors have flagged.

What to Wear: Weather at Saadiyat Nights

This is Abu Dhabi winter, which means gorgeous at 6pm and surprisingly nippy by the encore. January evenings typically sit around 18 to 22C at showtime and can slip into the mid-teens by midnight, with a breeze rolling off the water.

• A light jacket or pashmina – you will feel smug around 10.30pm when the breeze picks up.
• Comfortable flat shoes – the walk from parking can cross gravel and sand.
• A small bag – outside food, drinks, bottles, professional cameras with detachable lenses and chairs have all been on the banned list.
• Skip the umbrella – umbrellas have been prohibited unless bought on site, so check the forecast instead.
• A charged phone – your ticket lives on it, and so will 400 photos of the stage.

Kids, Older Guests and Accessibility

Kids: Past Saadiyat Nights listings have set a minimum age of 7, so under-7s cannot come in. Most headline sets finish late, so for primary-school kids a Friday or Saturday show makes far more sense than a midweek one.

Older guests: Every ticket is a seat, which is a big plus over standing-room arena gigs, and the compact amphitheatre means sightlines hold up even further back. The lineup itself skews towards the artists people in their 40s, 50s and 60s grew up with, so you will hardly be the oldest person there.

People of determination: In past seasons, POD seating had to be reserved in advance through the ticketing partner’s hotline rather than booked online. Details on parking, step-free routes and companion seats have not been published for the new edition, so contact Saadiyat Concierge (600 56 55 66) before you buy rather than after.
