New Restaurants in Abu Dhabi: What Just Opened and What's Next

Five Iron Golf is swinging on Yas Bay, Pierre Hermé has landed in Marina Mall and Daikan Izakaya heads to The Galleria in November. Here is every new Abu Dhabi restaurant worth knowing, plus the Saadiyat Grove names still on their way.

The new restaurants in Abu Dhabi this winter are a proper mix: a golf-and-cocktails playground on Yas Bay, a Paris pâtisserie legend in Marina Mall and a whole cluster of Michelin-pedigree names lining up at Saadiyat Grove. Here is what has actually opened, what lands in November and what is still “coming soon” with no firm date.

Last checked 24 October 2026. Opening dates move, especially at new developments, so ring or check the venue’s own channels before you set off.

Just opened in Abu Dhabi

Five Iron Golf, Yas Bay Waterfront

Five Iron Golf, Yas Bay Waterfront

The New York-born indoor golf brand swung open on Friday 23 October, and it is less a driving range than a very good excuse for a night out. Think around 30,000 sq ft of golf and sport simulators, several bars, live sports on the screens and a 12,000 sq ft waterfront terrace with lawn games. You do not need to know which end of the club to hold. Regulars can take a monthly membership at AED 999, which works across Five Iron’s UAE venues.

Five Iron Golf – indoor golf and social dining, Yas Bay Waterfront, Yas Island. Hours: 7am to 1am Mon to Thu, 7am to 2am Fri and Sat, 7am to midnight Sun. Contact- +971 55 851 6425. Bookings: fiveirongolf.ae.

💡 WOW Abu Dhabi Expert Tip: Opening week evenings will be packed with the after-work crowd. A weekday morning bay is the cheat code if you actually want to work on your swing rather than queue for it.

Pierre Hermé Paris, Marina Mall

Pierre Hermé Paris, Marina Mall

The pastry chef often called the Picasso of pastry has opened his first UAE flagship on the ground floor of Marina Mall. Come for the Ispahan (rose, raspberry and lychee, the one everyone photographs) and the macarons, stay for an all-day menu that runs from avocado toast with confit egg yolk to a chicken croque monsieur. The gift boxes are going to solve a lot of Diwali and festive-season hosting dilemmas.

Pierre Hermé Paris – French pâtisserie and café, Marina Mall, Ground Level (GM 16), Al Kasir. Hours: 9am to 11pm Sun to Thu, 9am to midnight Fri and Sat. Contact: pierreherme.com.

Jaan, Mina Zayed

Jaan, Mina Zayed

Founded by British-Indian entrepreneur Zainab Talati, Jaan brings contemporary Indian street food to the port with a live chaat counter, a takeaway hatch called Bites by the Window and a small dining room with outdoor seats. It is the kind of place you swing by for one pani puri and leave three plates later. If Indian is your thing, our best Indian restaurants in Abu Dhabi guide has the sit-down heavyweights.

Jaan – Indian street food, Souq Al Mina, Zayed Port (Mina Zayed). Hours: 3pm to 10pm Tue to Thu, 3pm to 11pm Fri to Sun. Contact: 0557060104. Instagram: @myjaan.ae

Y Bar, Yas Plaza Marina by IHG

Y Bar, Yas Plaza Marina by IHG

Back after a refresh, Y Bar now does Asian-inspired small plates: spicy bluefin tuna nori tacos with mango and tobiko, a wagyu katsu sando in soft shokupan and truffle-salted edamame for the table. Happy hour runs daily from 5pm to 7pm, Ladies’ Night is Tuesday and Friday from 7pm to 10pm and there is live acoustic music on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights. Signature mocktails are AED 45.

Y Bar – lounge and small plates, Yas Plaza Marina by IHG, Yas Island. Reservations: +971 2 656 2233 or yasplazahotels.com.

Gran Tour Emilia, Ferrari World Yas Island

Gran Tour Emilia, Ferrari World Yas Island

Not technically new, but newly easy to reach. Since 6 October you can book Gran Tour Emilia without buying a theme park ticket. The menu is a love letter to Emilia-Romagna: tortellini in golden broth, pumpkin cappellacci with aged balsamic and a pumpkin fondant with caramel gelato. Groups of four or more can book a two-hour fresh pasta masterclass (AED 1,500) or a zero-proof cocktail class (AED 1,300).

Gran Tour Emilia – Italian, Ferrari World Yas Island, Yas Island. Reservations required: ferrariworldabudhabi.com.

Opening in November

Amerigos reopens at Yas Plaza Hotels (Sunday 1 November)

Amerigos comes back with a Día de Muertos dinner from 6.30pm to 10.30pm on 1 November. It is a sharing-style feast of totopos, beef empanadas, chicken flautas, pollo con mole and beef tamales, finished with pan de muerto and spiced café de olla. There is live Latin music, Catrina face painting and an ofrenda where you can leave a note for someone you miss. Kids get a piñata. It is AED 150 with soft drinks, AED 250 with drinks and AED 100 for children.

Amerigos – Mexican and Latin, Yas Plaza Hotels, Yas Island. Reservations: +971 55 594 2695 or amerigos@yasplazahotels.com.

Daikan Izakaya, The Galleria Al Maryah Island

The Yas Bay favourite is opening a second Abu Dhabi spot at The Galleria this November, with ramen, yakitori, sharing plates and a fresh menu built for the downtown crowd. The design leans into Tokyo’s yokocho alleys and boro patchwork textiles, and the cocktail list keeps fan favourites like the Natsu Martini. Expected hours are noon to 1am daily, which makes it a strong late-night option on Al Maryah Island.

Coming soon: the new Abu Dhabi restaurants to watch

Oro Verde, Yas Bay Waterfront

Solutions Group, the team behind Asia Asia, Central and Lock, Stock and Barrel, is adding a fourth Yas Bay venue. Oro Verde is a Nikkei restaurant and bar blending Japanese technique with Peruvian ingredients, pitched as a lazy waterfront lunch spot that turns into a sunset cocktail bar. It is due in the final quarter of 2026.

Oro Verde – Nikkei, Yas Bay Waterfront, Yas Island. Updates: yasbay.ae.

Rowley’s Steak and Fries, Yas Bay

Rowley's Steak and Fries, Yas Bay

DIFC’s no-fuss steakhouse is bringing its steak-frites formula to Yas Bay, close to Etihad Arena. The original summer date has slipped, so treat this one as coming soon. On the menu shared so far: striploin at AED 145 and ribeye at AED 175, each with salad and unlimited fries, plus an AED 80 power lunch.

Rowley’s Steak and Fries – steakhouse, Yas Bay, Yas Island. Walk-in only, no reservations. Phone: +971 4 257 4754.

💡 WOW Abu Dhabi Expert Tip: Rowley’s runs a late-night happy hour in Dubai, with steaks at half price from midnight. If that carries over to Yas Bay, post-concert steak at Etihad Arena just became a very real plan.

The Saadiyat Grove line-up

This is the big one. Saadiyat Grove, Aldar’s new retail and dining district next to the Louvre, is due to open in Q4 2026. None of the restaurants have announced individual opening dates yet, but the confirmed names are serious:

  • Gymkhana – the two-Michelin-star Indian from Mayfair, in Louvre Residences. It only landed in Dubai in September 2026.
  • Zēphyr – Greek-inspired sharing plates from Pachamama Group, the people behind Soraya at Yas Mall.
  • Momofuku – David Chang’s Asian-American noodle and ramen concept.
  • Monsieur Paul – a Bocuse restaurant, café and boutique named after the late Paul Bocuse.
  • Barrafina – the London tapas bar, in Louvre Residences.
  • Le Palais – Cantonese from Taipei’s Palais de Chine hotel, its first site outside Taiwan.
  • Alain Ducasse Café and Kokoro Handroll Bar – for coffee, pastries and quick handrolls.

Saadiyat Grove – Saadiyat Cultural District, Saadiyat Island. Reservations have not opened yet. We will add booking details as each venue confirms.

💡 WOW Abu Dhabi Expert Tip: Gymkhana’s Dubai and London branches book out weeks ahead. Follow the brand on Instagram now so you see the Abu Dhabi reservation line open before everyone else does.

Nobu is also on its way to Saadiyat. We are tracking every detail in our Nobu Abu Dhabi explainer.

Brass Monkey, The Galleria Al Maryah Island

Brass Monkey, The Galleria Al Maryah Island

Dubai’s entertainment bar was meant to open at The Galleria in September. It is now running late, with no new date yet. When it does arrive, expect bowling, arcade games, VR racing simulators, pool and shuffleboard, plus sliders, tacos and pizzas to share. It is built for birthdays and team nights out.
