Bmw M Motorsport Dominates The Esports World Cup In Riyadh

BMW M Motorsport dominated the Esports World Cup, winning both drivers’ and team championships with Redline team.

BMW M Motorsport made a significant impact at the Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh, KSA, where the virtual ESL R1 season reached its thrilling conclusion. BMW M Team Redline swept the championship titles, with Kevin Siggy (SLO) winning the drivers’ championship on Thursday and then joining teammates Sebastian Job, Luke Bennett (both GBR), and Jeffrey Rietveld (NED) to secure the team championship on Sunday.

Impressive Wins and Prize Money

Siggy’s victory in the drivers’ championship earned him a prize of 25,000 euros, while BMW M Team Redline’s team success was rewarded with 140,000 euros, contributing to a total prize pool of 500,000 euros. The BMW M drivers showcased their dominance, with Job and Bennett finishing second and fourth in the drivers’ championship, while Maximilian Benecke (GER) of BMW M Team MOUZ, last year’s highlight winner, placed third. Caique Oliveira (BRA) from BMW M Team BS+COMPETITION also performed well, finishing in the top ten.

BMW M Teams Excel in Team Competition

The team competition saw strong performances from BMW M Motorsport’s virtual BMW M4 GT3s on the “Rennsport” simulation platform. The three BMW M representatives—Redline, BS+COMPETITION, and MOUZ—finished the group stage in first, sixth, and ninth places, respectively. BMW M Team MOUZ, after a strong showing in the “Second Chance” event, secured a spot in the final thanks to Benecke’s three individual victories. In the final, BMW M Team Redline was unbeatable, clinching three more victories to secure their place at the top with 300 points. BMW M Team MOUZ rounded out the podium, finishing third.

Team Preparation and Training

Preparation was key to BMW M’s success, with the three teams training together under the guidance of BMW M Motorsport. A joint training week at Formula Medicine in Viareggio, Italy, provided a program similar to that of the real BMW M works drivers. This comprehensive approach played a significant role in their outstanding performance at the EWC.
