Amerigos at Yas Plaza Hotels is reopening its doors with “Día de Muertos, Un Día para Recordar” on 1 November 2026, bringing the flavours, music and traditions of Mexico to Yas Island. The special evening celebrates the Mexican Day of the Dead, a cultural tradition that honours loved ones through food, memories and meaningful rituals. 💀🌺
Guests can enjoy a Mexican sharing-style dinner accompanied by live Mexican and Latin music, traditional décor and Catrina-inspired face painting. The menu features an assortment of Mexican favourites, including crispy beef empanadas, chicken flautas, fresh totopos, guacamole and homemade salsas.
Sharing mains include Pollo con Mole, char-grilled chicken served with rich mole sauce and Mexican rice, alongside beef-filled Tamales de Deshebrada. Vegetarian options are also available upon request. The evening concludes with Pan de Muerto, a traditional orange blossom sweet bread served with pastry cream, strawberry compote and spiced Mexican coffee. 🍽️
The celebration will feature a traditional ofrenda, decorated with marigolds, candles, photographs and symbolic offerings. Guests can leave personal messages in memory of loved ones and take home a Polaroid keepsake. Children can also enjoy a dedicated package that includes piñata participation. Mocktails such as Horchata and Agua de Jamaica will complement the beverage selection.
With food, music and cultural traditions at its heart, the reopening promises a memorable evening for families and friends.
