The event, held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, saw Italy’s Luca Coata claim the coveted Longines Grand Prix title. With over 300 riders from 42 countries competing for a prize pool of AED 800,000, the competition reinforced Abu Dhabi’s status as a premier destination for equestrian sports.

The event drew notable attendees, including:
- His Excellency Sheikh Nahayan bin Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, who presented the Grand Prix award.
- Sheikha Roudha bint Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
- H.E. Major General Dr. Ahmed Naser Al Raisi, President of the UAE Equestrian & Racing Federation and President of Interpol.

Luca Coata’s Stellar Performance
In the highlight event, the CSI2 Longines Grand Prix*, Luca Coata demonstrated exceptional skill and composure. Riding Cassirana Del Rilate, Coata clocked an impressive 41.08 seconds in the jump-off, securing first place. His initial round time of 74.67 seconds further showcased his consistency.
Coata expressed his gratitude, stating:
“I’m really happy with this win! My horse was in great shape, and the competition was organized superbly. A huge thanks to the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation for hosting such an amazing event.”
Runners-up included:
- Ramzy Al Duhaimi, who delivered a close second.
- Constant Rene J Van Paesschen, finishing third.
The Grand Prix winner took home a leading prize of EUR 28,200.

The day also witnessed victories in other categories:
- Mohammed Osama Al Zabibi triumphed in the *CSI2 Two Phase (130cm)**.
- Saleh Mufrej Ali Mohamed Alkarbi topped the *CSI2 Two Phases (120cm)**.
Al Zabibi reflected on his remarkable three-day winning streak with his horse, BEC Hugo:
“Winning consistently feels amazing. Horse riding runs deep in my family, and I’m incredibly grateful for this journey.”
Youth and International Talent Shine
The second day of the competition spotlighted young talent and international riders. Among the highlights:
- Omar Abdulaziz Almarzooqi clinched the CSIYH1 5-6YO One Round with Jump Off* category, ahead of Germany’s Yassin Al Zbibi.
- Humaid Abdullah Khalifa Almheiri secured victory in the CSIYH1 7YO One Round with Jump Off*, leading a clean sweep for the UAE.
Other notable results included:
- Great Britain’s Lily Attwood, who won the CSIU25-A round, earning a prize of EUR 7,050.
- Saudi Arabia’s Ramzy Al Duhami, victorious in the CSI2 Two Phases GP Qualifier*.
- Mabkhout Owaida Alkarbi of the UAE, who excelled in the CSI2 One Round with Jump Off*.
