Year of Family Aquathlon Challenge

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council is hosting the Year of Family Aquathlon Challenge, bringing together swimming and running activities for participants of different ages at Al Ain Adventure, Al Ain. 🌊🏃‍♂️

Taking place on Saturday, 26 September 2026, the event features several aquathlon and swimming categories, allowing children, teenagers and adults to take part according to the age requirements. Each activity is designed around a combination of swimming and running, while the swimming-only categories offer different distances for participants.

The Aquathlon 800 begins at 7:00 AM and includes a 2.5km run, 800m swim and 1km run for participants aged 14 and above. The Aquathlon 400 starts at 7:30 AM with a 1.5km run, 400m swim and 1km run, while the Aquathlon 200 starts at 7:45 AM with a 1.5km run, 200m swim and 1km run. Both are open to participants aged 9 and above. 🏅

Swimming categories include 800m, 400m and 200m, followed by a 100m swim for children aged 4–12. The 100m competition is not timed. 🏊‍♀️✨
