Okay, start your engines — but maybe lower the seat height and hand over a juice box first, because Yas Marina Circuit is about to unleash the cutest race squad you’ve ever seen.

Yas Heat, the motorsport powerhouse that’s already launched some seriously fast names onto the global stage, has just rolled out a game-changer for the tiniest speedsters among us. Introducing Yas Heat Academy – AL SABQ — a grassroots initiative so fresh, it practically smells like brand-new tires and possibility.

What’s the Big Idea?

On Saturday, 10 May 2025, Yas Kartzone will turn into a buzzing little racetrack where 5- and 6-year-old boys and girls will get to prove they have the need for speed. We’re talking time trials, fitness challenges, and driving behavior evaluations — aka, serious scouting for the next Hamilton, Al Qubaisi, or dare we say… you?

Best part? Entry is FREE! You just need to pre-register by May 7, because let’s be honest — a mini Grand Prix sounds adorable, and spots are going to fly faster than a kart on a straightaway.

Why AL SABQ?

Not just a cool-sounding name, my friend. AL SABQ literally means to precede, to lead, to be first — and isn’t that exactly what we want from our future champs? It’s more than just karting bragging rights; it’s about building tomorrow’s motorsport legends today (while they still need a booster seat).

What’s Up for Grabs?

The top two boys and one girl — a salute to gender balance, by the way — will snag a fully-funded racing seat in local Bambino championships and an official golden ticket into the Yas Heat Academy development programme. Translation: free rides, epic coaching, and the start of a journey that could seriously zoom-zoom into fame.

Serious Words from the Big Boss

Ali Al Beshr, General Manager of Yas Marina Circuit, put it best:

“AL SABQ is more than a competition — it’s a national movement to uncover and nurture homegrown racing talent right from the start. We’re creating real pathways for the UAE’s next generation of motorsport heroes.”

But Wait, Yas Heat Has History

In case you’re wondering if this is just some cute PR stunt — nope. Yas Heat’s track record (pun very much intended) is seriously impressive.

  • Keanu Al Azhari is burning rubber in the GB3 Championship.
  • Hamda Al Qubaisi? Yeah, she’s literally on F1 Academy podiums.
  • Rashid Al Dhaheri is busy flying through the Formula Regional European Championship.
And the roster just keeps growing: Matteo Quintarelli’s tackling the Asian Le Mans Series, Zack Scoular just bagged a runner-up finish in Oceania, and the younger guns like Adam Al Azhari and August Raber are rocking it in British Formula 4.

If you know a kid who can out-drive you on a Mario Kart track, it’s time to give destiny a little nudge. Yas Heat Academy – AL SABQ is here, and it’s not just building racers — it’s building legends.

Pre-register now, or risk the eternal regret of missing the world’s tiniest, mightiest, most wholesome racing revolution.
